Although in-game graphics will not have too much of an affect on the standard of competition or the reliability of the software, they can still do a fair bit in helping you to keep focused within the game. The appearance of a poker room can be more important than you think, just as the appearance of a new car can make it more attractive regardless of the build quality and efficiency. Although looks should not automatically signify the quality of a room, it is nice to see which rooms in the industry are the easiest on the eye and help you to feel more involved within the game. There are a large number of players that are shocked by the graphics as they sit down at the PokerRoom tables for the first time. After seeing the screenshots, most players believe that they are modified to help make the room more attractive, but they are always real screenshots taken from a computer and placed directly into the reviews. There are also other rooms on the OnGame network that share the same great 3D-like graphics, such as Hollywood Poker.

We rank Full Tilt second because of how customizable the table graphics are. There is so much that you can do to change the table appearance to make it suit your own personal preferences that it would be wrong to rank it any lower. It can be argued that the avatars look a little cartoon-like, but after playing at the room for a little while you will find that you will get used to them and start to enjoy them. Plus you can make them change their expressions, which is great fun no matter what age you might be.

Although PKR is the only pure 3D poker room in this list, we find it hard to rank it at the #1 spot because of the love/hate relationship players have with the room. There are a number of players that love the 3D environment as it helps them to feel more involved in the game, whilst others feel it distracts them from the action at hand. Nonetheless, PKR has a lot to offer in the graphics department, and it it well worth checking out if you are looking for a room that is pushing the boundaries of online poker when it comes to looks.
