For the longest time, online poker has been played in US dollars ($). Online poker was more popular in the US than in any other country back when the online poker boom first started, and so it made perfect sense to have the games played in USD. However, as the game becomes more popular in European countries, poker rooms are offering tables that allow players to bet in currencies that are more familiar to them, such as EUR and GBP.
Playing in US dollars can be a little intimidating for the player that is not familiar with the currency and its exchange rate. Therefore we have provided a list of poker rooms that allow you to play in Pounds (GBP) and poker rooms that allow you to play in Euros (EUR). There is also the option to play in the Turkish Lira at one of the rooms listed below.
NOTE: The ratings of these rooms is a reflection of how good they are with respect to the multi-currency options they have available, and is not a rating of the rooms as a whole.

Sun Poker
7.5/10

Best For GBP (£ Pounds)
Sun Poker offers tables in USD, EUR and GBP. In addition to this, on the Sun Poker homepage you have the option of downloading the poker software in either GBP or USD. This means that if you choose the GBP software, you money will be stored in your account in Pounds rather than Dollars. Conversely, your money will be stored in Dollars rather than Pounds if you choose the USD version.
Sun Poker is based on the Cryptologic network, which means the room receives a solid amount of traffic compared to other major online rooms. The USD and GBP tables are equally popular, but there are very few people playing at the EUR tables. Therefore Sun Poker is a great option for those looking to play in Pounds as well as US Dollars, but not so great for those who want to play in Euros.

Paradise
6.1/10

Best For EUR (€ Euros)
Paradise Poker is part of the Boss Media network, which mainly targets European players. The base currency of the poker room is the Euro, and so all of its bonuses and tournament buy-ins are set in the Euro currency.
Although the STT and MTT tournaments are just in Euros, there is still the option to play at the cash games in GBP, USD or even TRY (Turkish Lira). However, the most popular tables are the EUR, USD and GBP tables. The downside to the Boss Media network and Paradise Poker is that it receives little traffic compared to Cryptologic, and I feel that offering TRY as a currency to play in is diluting the traffic and detracting from the more popular tables.
