pairs in Texas Hold'em are very useful cards. They have the ability to take down big pots after making a set or by being the unsuspected overpair. Some of the
biggest pots are created due to a pocket pair's 'hidden' attribute in a Hold'em game. As you can see, the chances of being dealt a high pocket pair are quite low when compared to the chances of being dealt any pocket pair in general. The likelihood of receiving any pocket pair would be the same as receiving 22 or higher, and the likelihood of receiving a specific pocket pair (e.g Tens of Kings) would be the same as the figures shown in the AA column.
